Digital dentures are designed on screen using CAD software and milled from solid acrylic blocks using CAM machinery. The practical advantage is improved dimensional accuracy — the precision milling process produces a result with tighter tolerances than conventional methods.

WHAT THIS MEANS IN PRACTICE:

More accurate initial fit (less chair-side adjustment). Faster production (fewer appointments). Digital backup (your design is stored — replicas can be produced without repeating the entire process).

WHAT DIGITAL DOES NOT CHANGE:

The quality of the impression, the accuracy of the bite registration, and the clinical assessment still determine the outcome. Digital manufacturing adds measurable precision to the fabrication process — but it is not a substitute for clinical skill.

At D3 Clinic, we use digital workflows where they provide a measurable advantage. Not every case benefits from a fully digital approach, and we are transparent about when traditional techniques are more appropriate.
